Moral Government Issues:
Augustine vs. Finney

"My theologian is Augustine, and when Augustine speaks, people listen!" (My apologies to the old E. F. Hutton ad campaign.)

As a Pentecostal minister, I am involved in doctrinal debate and discussion. As a Pentecostal minister, I am Arminian in orientation, believing that Man is not predestined to Heaven or Hell by God's decree from Eternity Past. But I am not locked into the bad theology of the Church, Catholic, Protestant or Pentecostal, that we have all inherited from Augustine of Hippo. Often called "The Teacher of the Church," I believe him to be the Perverter of the Church.

Articles on this page will be in two major catagories: first, there will be articles about such theological topics as Original Sin, Omniscience, etc. A second category will be looking at Augustine, his teachings and the evil mpact he has had on the Church down through the centuries.

Does God Change His Mind?:
An article dealing with the doctrine of Immutability, showing that the accepted teaching of God's Unchangableness is based on verses taken out of context.

"Proginosko - A Word Study"
After being called an apostate for my statements on the foreknowledge of God, I decided to look up the word in the Greek and see what it meant. Here is the result.

Refuting the "Finite God" Accusations
A particular Calvinist wrote an article on his webpage accusing those who do not accept his theological position of having a God who is finite. I take that logic apart.

The Sins of Augustine
An article demonstrating that Augustine, far from being the great Teacher of the Church, is better called the Perverter of the Church.
ExNhilo
An excellent parody of Calvin's God. If you believe in Calvinist determinationism, you won't like this one, I promise you.
The Life of St. Morgan of Wales
An article from the internet about Pelagius and the truth behind what he actually taught, not seen through Augustinian prism.
The Truth about Pelagius
Was Pelagius Orthodox or was he a Heretic? Well, what does it matter, as long as you win the election, right, Auggie?
"Shapen in Iniquty?"
If I am shaped in iniquity, whose fault is that?
