All too often, the standard presentation of a Pentecostal Christian, in the eyes of Christians and non-Christians alike, is of a barefoot hillbilly handling snakes and unable to use words of more than one-syllable. The purpose of this page is to demonstrate that some Pentecostals are capable of thought, and do seriously examine the tenets of their faith, to make sure that they are grounded on solid thought, and not just mindless emotionalism.

Because we believe that the Bible teaches that we are to serve God with our Minds, as well as our Hearts, this page will look at several topics that have caused division and problems in the Pentecostal church world. These topics are:

The Rapture:
Does the Bible teach that Christ will come back seven years before the end of the world, to take His Church out of the world and spare them from the Tribulation that is to come? This is the majority view of Pentecostal Christians, but does the Bible support such a claim?

Moral Government:
This is a catch phrase for topics related to the nature of God and man. Does God know everything because He sits in a static Eternal Now? Do we have the freedom to choose our actions, or have they already been determined by an omniscient Being? Are we born with the taint of Adam's sin already infecting us, making it impossible for us to serve God? These teachings and others come from one man, the Teacher of the Church, Saint Augustine. But did he get it right?

Word of Faith Doctrines:
Can we really "Name it and Claim it," "Blab 'n' Grab?" Are such teachings as "We are gods" (Benny Hinn), "God is about 6'3" tall and lives on a planet named Heaven" (Kenneth Copeland) and "God wants you rich" (Kenneth Hagin) biblical?

True & False Revival:
People on all fours, barking like dogs, or walking and jerking like chickens. Men like Steven Hill, John Kilpatrick and Rodney Howard-Browne tell us that these manifestations, and many more, are the new paradigm of the Holy Spirit's activity in the lives Christians today. But is this truly of God? Or is it just another counterfeit move, with the result that Christians are taking their eyes off of God and looking to themselves?

Bible Translations:
Is the King James Version the only acceptable translation for Christians to use? Is Satan behind the creation of the new translations of the Bible today? If you listen to some teachers today, you will learn that there is a Satanic conspiracy to destroy the Word of God. But are they correct?

Links Page:
There are many good discernment pages out there. Yes, there is Intelligent Life in the Pentecostal Universe, but you have to search hard and long to find it. Here is some help for my fellow-searchers.

Who am I?:
"TOUCH NOT THE LORD'S ANOINTED!" Just who is this Pelajus fellow, anyway, to criticize today's mighty move of God and His anointed servants? I am not someone outside the Pentecostal Universe, but an insider who believes:

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your MIND and with all your strength." Mark 12:30
